Living Well

Collaboration On My Teenage Daughter’s Room

I love all of my design projects, but one in particular hits close to home- a collaboration with my daughter on her bedroom.

StyleBlueprint recently asked if they could run a story on Ann’s bedroom that she and I created together.

Sure- I guided the process in creating the space, but this girl has great style and played a huge role in how this room came together.  Ann listened to my direction and with her discerning eye, we created a room that fits her well.

Since Ann was little, she has been my shadow.   She would run errands with me and anywhere I needed to go after school for work, she was along for the ride.  I tell her all the time that she needs to go in business with me one day so we can work together.  She has great taste, is such a hard worker, and quite frankly, I just love being with her.

I need to be careful, though, because I may just end up one day working for her.  And like any other parent, I want my children to outshine me and achieve even more than I can even dream, so that would be okay, too.

Thanks to Lisa Mowry and StyleBlueprint for putting into words how I feel about my girl.  Hope you enjoy reading here about the room as much as I loved collaborating on it with her.
